‘Please don’t forget us’: Oh, Sister! screened in Belfast

Published: April 7, 2023

As Northern Ireland marked 25 years since the signing of the Belfast/Good Friday Agreement, PILS & The Nobel Women’s Initiative joined forces to explore what ‘everyday acts of peace’ look like in 2023.

The special free screening of Oh, Sister! took place in The MAC in Belfast city centre on Thursday 6 April 2023.

Showcasing the experiences of six extraordinary women in Ukraine, the documentary highlights the active role that women play to safeguard fundamental human rights in the face of conflict.

Guests in the packed screening room were joined by panellists Magz Gibney (a survivor, creative activist and mental health advocate) from Belfast, barrister and fundraiser Iryna Kennedy, and Nobel Women’s head of media Daina RuduĊĦa to shine a light on the experiences of local women in peace building, in Northern Ireland, Ukraine and globally.
